Born and raised in Louisiana, I moved to Texas in 2008 and made Forney my home in 2013. I’m a high school teacher in Forney ISD. As a single mother, I understand the challenges and rewards of raising children on my own, and I have a passion for walking alongside other single moms in their journey. I serve on the Worship Team and in the Children’s Ministry.

I’m happiest with a suitcase in hand, chasing new destinations ✈️. I’ll never say no to a bargain hunt—there’s nothing like spotting that perfect find at half the price 🛍️. And when it comes to food, I’m on a mission to taste as many flavors as possible!

Scripture & Community

Life Change Happens in Community

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17

From Paul's nurturing leadership in Thessalonica (1 Thess 2:7–12) to Jesus' personal investment in His disciples (John 21), Scripture consistently shows we are not meant to walk alone. Small groups are where masks come off, real conversations happen, and true care begins.

The Fireside Flow

An Evening at Small Group

No awkward icebreakers or surprise pop quizzes. Three unhurried chapters make every gathering welcoming.

First 30 Mins 🍕

1. Hang Out & Unwind

Walking in, you'll find food, drinks, and friendly faces ready to welcome you! We kick things off with relaxed hang-out time—swapping work stories, catching up on life, and taking a deep breath after a busy week.

“Come straight from work in your scrubs or boots. There is zero pretense.”
~45 Mins 📖

2. Study & Discuss

We dive deep into Scripture and real-life questions. Whether following a sermon series or exploring a Bible study, these conversations create a safe space to be truly known and understood. Share your doubts, questions, and insights as we encounter God together.

“Not a lecture—an open living room conversation where everyone has a seat.”
Final 20–30 Mins 🙏

3. Pray & Stand Together

We share what's really happening in our lives and then pray specifically for those situations. Whether it's a job interview, health concern, or family struggle, we stand together believing God can break through where we feel stuck.

“You never have to navigate a season of struggle or crisis alone.”
Our Guiding Light

5 Pillars of Discipleship

Biblical growth measured by heart transformation and authentic care for one another:

Pillar 01

Community

“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Proverbs 27:17

Group members develop trust, maintain gentle accountability, and engage in honest conversations. Your small group becomes a place where masks come off and real life is shared.

Pillar 02

Worship

“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice…which is your spiritual worship.”

Romans 12:1

Group members help each other recognize God's presence and discern His voice in everyday moments. Together, you create space to listen for God's guidance and support one another in surrendering areas of life to His leadership.

Pillar 03

Discipleship

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Romans 12:2

The group provides accountability for developing godly character and the courage to step out in sharing the gospel and praying for others' needs. Together you celebrate both internal transformation—growing in love and gentleness—and external impact through service and evangelism, recognizing that both spiritual fruit and bold witness flow from lives surrendered to Christ.

Pillar 04

Service

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these…you did for me.”

Matthew 25:40

The group identifies needs within the church and community and finds practical ways to demonstrate God's love through action.

Pillar 05

Outreach

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Romans 10:15

Group members pray for friends and neighbors, practice sharing their faith stories, extend invitations to group gatherings, and occasionally plan events specifically designed to reach the lost.
